ASHTON EATON was a sensational athlete – dominating the Decathlon for several years and then retiring at the age of just 28 having achieved it all!!! 💪
Born in Portland, Oregon (USA), Eaton also went onto study at the University of Oregon…he subsequently won several NCAA titles before starting his dominance on the international stage…
His impact was immense – double Olympic GOLD (2012 & 2016) and double World Championship GOLD (2013 & 2015)!!!🥇🥇🥇🥇 Twice over 9,000 points (only Decathlete in History!) and a two-time World Record Holder!!! Not that Eaton’s credentials need reinforcing, but it is noteworthy that he remains the Men’s Heptathlon World Record Holder (6,645 points) and won a hat-trick of World Indoor Championships Golds (2012, 2014 & 2016)!!!
