DAN O’BRIEN was an incredibly gifted athlete – born in Portland, Oregon (USA), he then went on to study at the University of Idaho, where he kicked on with his athletic prowess…by 1991 he was Decathlon World Champion (aged 25); the first of 3 World Golds!!!🥇🥇🥇

Olympic disappointment in 1992 (Pole Vault no-height during the US Olympic Trials), was replaced by the euphoria of a Decathlon World Record later that same year (8891 points), and Olympic Gold at a Home Games in 1996!!! 🙌
