Blasting off our HBM TOP 10 Ranking of ALL-TIME for the WOMEN’S 100m is the incredible Jackson-Nelson! 🙌
Now in her 90s, Jackson-Nelson was winner of the 100m/200m double at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, smashing World Records along the way; then after dominating the 1954 Commonwealth Games she remarkably hung up her spikes at the age of just 23!!! ✊
What followed was a life leading Australian sports, setting up good causes, numerous honours and even becoming Governor of South Australia! Today we recognise her indelible print on the legacy of the women’s 100m! 🙏
