DAVIS was an immense athlete – such was his all around talent, when representing Ohio State University, he won the 1958 NCAA flat 400m in 45.4 secs, just 0.2 secs outside of the then World Record!!!💪
That wasn’t even his main event!!! His legendary status in the 400m Hurdles is underlined by becoming the first ever athlete to win TWO Olympic GOLDs in the event [Melbourne 1956 & Rome 1960]…accompanied by his TWO World Records, on route to becoming the first man to go sub-50 seconds!!!✨
