Born 13th December 1926, GEORGE RHODEN was a versatile force on the track – competing in the 100m at the 1948 Olympics and even in the 800m at the 1950 & 1954 CAC Games!!!💪

However, it was the 400m where he excelled most…WORLD RECORD HOLDER for 5 years with his 45.8 secs in 1950 with unmatched form that carried him through to take Olympic 400m GOLD in sensational style at the 1952 Helsinki Games, defeating legendary Jamaican teammate Herb McKenley in the process with an Olympic Record!!!🔥 The pair then combined to help win RHODEN his second GOLD when Jamaica not only won the 4x400m, but did so smashing the World Record!!!👊
