Where to start…an incredible life on and off the track…Johnson broke the Decathlon World Record whilst at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) in 1955, won Olympic Silver and GOLD (1956 & 1960 respectively, breaking further World Records along the way!); was drafted as a Running Back in the 1959 NFL Draft by the LA Rams; was the US flag bearer at the 1960 Games; lit the Olympic cauldron at the 1984 LA Games; starred in several films; and was known for his humanitarian efforts across various wonderful organisations, including being a founding member of the Special Olympics!!! ✊
