Hines comes in 4th ALL-TIME – the first man officially under 10 secs for 100m!!! 🙌 ⬇️

Following in the footsteps of Bob Hayes, just 4 years later Hines won Olympic 100m Gold in Mexico (1968), breaking the World Record in a brilliant time of 9.95 secs that would last for a fantastic 15 years – underscoring his impact on the event!!! Thereafter, the NFL beckoned (as it had for Hayes), albeit his time in the gridiron was short-lived. Sadly Hines passed just several months ago, but his legacy lives on as the first man under 10-seconds for the blue-ribboned 100m and he cements himself as 4th in our Greatest Ever HBM Ranking! ✊
