A particular highlight for the man who excelled in Marathon Majors was winning the 2002 London Marathon against one of the greatest fields ever assembled (many consider it the greatest marathon ever run)…in setting an Official World Best he saw off both Gebrselassie (2 x Marathon WR) and Tergat (1 x Marathon WR); the latter by just 10 seconds in an epic race that lived up to the hype!!! 🙌
