Formerly a Steeplechase runner, Cierpinski switched to the Marathon in the mid-70s and never looked back – winning Marathon Gold in both the 1976 Montreal Olympics and again in Moscow 1980!!! 🥇🥇
The East German wasn’t done there, adding Bronze at the inaugural 1983 World Athletics Championships and now ranked 6th All-Time via HBM…👏
