At #7, the first Brazilian (though not the last!) to enter our all-time greatest-ever rankings – De Oliveira is a triple jump icon! His career was sadly cut short in its prime after a horrific accident, but his achievements as a former World Record holder will last for an eternity – his 17.89m WR in 1975 broke the old WR by a greater distance than ever achieved before or since (+45cm; a massive +2.6% improvement on the prior mark)! 🙌
